We're excited to be partnering with Urban Mission this semester. A local Oklahoma City-based nonprofit that has consistently been giving back to Oklahoma City and the surrounding community in various ways for decades. Food to the local community is provided weekly, providing over 2,000 families with groceries. Last year, they distributed over one million pounds of food. They also have a child after-school program that provides a safe environment for children. Urban Mission delivers school supplies to over 1,000 students yearly and has a marketplace that resells new and lightly worn items. Annually, they organize a Santa store that allows families to select Christmas gifts for their kids. A percentage of all Timeless Tradition sales will fund a room of toys for kids to have a joyful Christmas morning.
Our heart as a company aims to give back to the community we're surrounded by, and partnering with Urban Mission is a significant first step in that direction. However large the financial donation is, it will significantly impact at least one person's life.
Assistance League of Norman
Assistance League has been working to transform the lives of children in the local Norman community through various programs for the last 45 years. We want to make a difference in our community and decided that putting our efforts toward the Assistance League would be the most effective. We will primarily be volunteering with Operation School Bell, but we will also have the opportunity to partner with other programs the Assistance League in Norman leads. Operation School Bell pairs a student with a volunteer who becomes their shopper for the day.
Timeless Traditions aims to make a difference in these children's lives, so our goal as a team is to volunteer 500-600 hours collectively this semester. We are ready to serve in any capacity needed at the Assistance League because we want to make a difference and give back to our community.
